Fecal examination was performed by the Kato-Katz smear technique; 1 smear was examined for each person. Data not shown for echinostome eggs (n=1), Hymenolepis nana (1), H. diminuta (2), and Enterobius vermicularis (1) for Saravane, and echinostome eggs (1) for Champasak.

Include the eggs of Opisthorchis viverrini, Heterophyidae, and Lecithodendriidae.
