Dr. Myeong Heon Shin is a Full Professor in the Department of Environmental Medical Biology at Yonsei University College of Medicine, where he has served since 2002. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Parasitology at Ewha Womans University College of Medicine. Dr. Shin earned his M.D. in 1989 and Ph.D. in 1996 from Hanyang University, and later conducted research as a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Immunology at the Mayo Clinic (2005–2006). His research contributions in parasitology and immunology have earned him several honors, including the Junior Faculty Travel Award from the American Association of Immunologists (2004), the Excellent Paper Award from the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Society (2002), and the Academic Award from the Korean Society for Parasitologists (2001). He is an active member of the scientific community, serving as a board member of the Korean Society for Parasitologists and as a member of the American Association of Immunologists.

Prof. Eun-Hee Shin has her expertise in immunology and diagnosis in parasitology and tropical medicine. In particular, she studied on biological and immunological response of a protozoa, Toxoplasma gondii in the infected host, and she published many papers about that. Besides, she worked in the field of the mucosal immunity in other food-borne protozoa and food borne trematode. Her recent research is highlighted by anticancer research using T. gondii proteins.
Hak Sun Yu

Dr. Hak-Sun Yu is a professor of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine at Pusan National University School of Medicine, where he has served since 2004. He received his DVM, MS, and PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from Kyungpook National University and completed visiting professorship training in immunology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Yu’s research focuses on parasite immunology, host–pathogen interactions, and immune-based therapeutic strategies. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Director of the Research Institute for Convergence of Biomedical Science and Technology, Director of the SmartBio Business Incubator, and Dean of Research and Business Development at Pusan National University Yangsan Campus. A recipient of numerous national and international scientific awards, Dr. Yu has published extensively in parasitology, immunology, and translational biomedical research.
